The work covers a broad range of crops, among them potatoes, onions, corn, cereals, and other local crops. In the end, the customer of the dealer--the farmer-- benefits the most. From its inception in 1981, given birth by the member companies making up the National Fertilizer Solutions Association (NFSA), the FFF has provided research funds, generated by FFF member companies, to land grant colleges and universities to discover new and better ways to increase crop quality and yields. It is also an opportunity for the academic community to include their students to work hand-in-hand with industry. The teaming of these two entities has contributed mightily in providing valuable research to the agricultural community, not to mention this publication, which is viewed in some 72 countries on our website. With our rapidly increasing world population (another article in this issue), more efficiency and higher yield levels will be required to avoid an international food crisis.
